The Historic Karsten Inn has a very colorful history and numerous stories about ghostly activity and manifestations. Please refer to the link:

On the night of our stay, our group of eight investigators and one other couple were the only residents at the hotel (so we thought). After doing a complete tour of the hotel and an EMF sweep, we set up our equipment which includes but is not limited to night vision dvd cameras, 4 camera DVR system, Laser thermometers, K2 meters, voice recorders, digital cameras, motion sensors, and 35mm cameras. Our main areas of concentration was the 2nd floor hallway, where Billy Karsten III is known to be seen, and Room 310, which was Agathas room.

Personal experiences:

James seeing a woman in a long dress standing at the top of the stairwell in the main lobby and within seconds she was gone. Investigators heard strange scratching noises coming from behind a locked closet door while investigating on the second floor.  Walking into the room that they reserved and had an overwhelming smell of cigar or cigarette smoke. There is no smoking allowed anywhere inside the hotel. Downstairs in the bar, several investigators had a similar occurrence. While talking with the bartender, all that were there smelled strong cigar smoke for a brief few seconds.

No video evidence was captured. A few 35mm pictures show anomalies but these could be questionable. A few EVP's were captured mainly on the second floor. The main piece of evidence was an EVP captured in Agatha's room. Nadine and her husband reserved that room. When reading the history of the hotel you will learn that Agatha, a former maid, does not like men and especially those men that drink. She was raped by a drunk neighbor. One member had alcohol in the room in hopes of enticing the entity known as Agatha. EVP session commenced at 2:00am, someone "unseen" was not too happy with him. She is clearly heard on our voice recorders as stating " Get Out" and "Don't touch your wife". She was heard talking back to him for about one minute on the recorder.
Was this Agatha? Was she mad that he had been drinking? That we don't know for sure as she never stated her name. We can only assume.
